I was very excited to spend Jenna & Clay's wedding day with them in my hometown of Rubicon. Their ceremony and reception was held at Jenna's parents farm, and there was no detail left undone. There were so many personal touches, thoughtful gestures and one-of-a-kind surprises. The beautiful barn wood entrance doorway was made by Jenna's brother, along with the custom bars and the pergola arbor for the ceremony. They made their own photo booth, place card holders, table numbers and had frozen custard brought in for dessert. A young local celebrity provided dinner entertainment, while guests putted for the newlyweds to kiss. It was easy to see that a lot of thought, time, energy and love went into making this such a beautiful day for Jenna and Clay. We were able to sneak the bride and groom away for some bridal photos using their neighbors hollowed out barn and vintage car. Jenna's family has long horned cattle on the property, so of course we had to climb in the pasture with them! We weathered the heat and hiked up to the loft of the barn to use some creative lighting for a dramatic effect. A golden wheat field was our last stop before it was time to hide the bride away before the ceremony. The ceremony felt very intimate-Jenna's nieces and nephews served as the ring bearers and flower girls while Clay's Dad served as Best Man and a close friend was Jenna's Maid of Honor. This amazing evening ended with a sparkler photo-the barn beams were the perfect silhouette backdrop with the stars popping out of the country night sky. We feel so honored to have shared your perfect day.
